Kelsy Ully: What Is Actually Known About Jonathan Scott’s Former Wife
Kelsy Ully is a Canadian business professional best known publicly for her former marriage to Jonathan Scott, who later became widely known through Property Brothers. The strongest public reporting establishes that Ully worked as an airline crew scheduler, married Scott on July 7, 2007, and separated from him roughly two years later. Years after the relationship ended, a company profile also identified her as a founder and senior operations executive at Impel Systems.
Beyond those points, the public record is much thinner than many online biographies suggest. Exact claims about Ully’s birth date, age, wealth, present relationship status, residence and current employer often circulate without strong supporting documentation. For that reason, they should not be treated as established facts.
Kelsy Ully was part of Jonathan Scott’s life before his television fame
Ully’s name entered entertainment coverage because of her relationship with Jonathan Scott, rather than through a career in television or celebrity media.
In a March 2017 interview with People, Scott described Kelsy as an airline-crew scheduler and said he relocated from Canada to Las Vegas to be with her. They married in 2007. Scott described the decision as rushed, telling the magazine that “there was sort of a rush going into it.”
The wedding date is unusually well documented. Scott said Ully wanted to marry on 07/07/07, and Country Living, reporting from the Scotts’ 2017 memoir and a book-launch interview, specifically places the wedding on July 7, 2007.
That timing matters because the marriage belonged to an earlier chapter of Scott’s life. The relationship was already breaking down years before the public came to know him primarily as one of the Property Brothers.
Their relationship timeline is less tidy than some biographies make it sound
One detail deserves caution: the exact year Ully and Scott first met is not clear from the strongest published accounts.
A later People relationship history says Scott met Ully in 2007 and married her that same year. Yet Scott himself told People in 2017 that he had spent six-and-a-half years with her. Those two statements do not fit neatly together if “met in 2007” is interpreted literally.
The sensible conclusion is not to invent a more precise dating history. The 2007 wedding is well supported; the beginning of the relationship is not nearly as certain.
What is clearer is its ending. People reported in both 2017 and its updated 2022 retrospective that the relationship fell apart about two years after the wedding.
A 2013 legal-divorce date is repeated widely across celebrity-biography websites and secondary articles, but the strongest accessible first-hand and established-publication sources reviewed here do not themselves document that final court date. It is therefore more accurate to distinguish the well-supported relationship breakdown around 2009 from the more weakly sourced legal-finalization date rather than presenting every date with equal certainty.
What Jonathan Scott has said about why the marriage ended
Most detailed public descriptions of the marriage come from Scott’s perspective, an important distinction because Ully has not provided a comparably prominent public account.
In It Takes Two: Our Story, the memoir Scott wrote with his brother Drew, he described growing distance between himself and his then-wife after their move to Las Vegas. Country Living, reporting directly from the memoir, said Scott was pursuing real estate and magic while his wife was working as a waitress and model, and that their schedules and social lives increasingly diverged. The couple tried marriage counseling before separating.
Those details should not be turned into a verdict assigning blame to Ully. They describe Scott’s recollection of the relationship, not a neutral finding about why the marriage failed.
His later public comments were less accusatory. Speaking to People, Scott said one of the lessons he took from the experience was that “two good people” can simply be wrong for one another. He also confirmed that he and Ully did not have children together.
Kelsy Ully also built a business career
Online profiles sometimes reduce Ully to “Jonathan Scott’s ex-wife,” but there is first-party evidence of a professional career separate from the marriage.
An Impel Systems company post identified Kelsy Ully as one of the company’s three founders and its Director of Business Operations. According to that post, her responsibilities included client retention, business development, project management, accounting and human resources. The company also said she had post-secondary education in business management in both Canada and the United States.
That source is particularly useful because it comes from the organization itself rather than from a celebrity biography copying an employment history from elsewhere.
It does not, however, establish that Ully still holds the same position in 2026. The company post is an older professional profile, and I found no sufficiently recent first-party source that would justify describing that job as her current occupation.
The same distinction applies to her earlier airline work. People directly described her as an airline-crew scheduler around the time of the relationship, making that part of her professional history considerably better supported than some of the much longer résumés reproduced on biography sites.
Where is Kelsy Ully now?
The most accurate answer is limited: there is no strong, recent public source establishing Ully’s present job, home or relationship status.
That is different from saying she is unemployed, single, remarried or living in a particular city. A lack of recent public reporting cannot establish any of those things.
Some recent articles have attempted to infer her present circumstances from social-media or LinkedIn profiles, including profiles using different surnames. Without stronger identity confirmation and a clear first-person or organizational source, those claims are too uncertain to present as fact.
What can be said is that Ully developed a documented professional identity outside celebrity coverage. The Impel Systems profile shows her holding a broad business-operations leadership role and being described as a company founder.
Claims about Kelsy Ully’s age and net worth need caution
Search results for Kelsy Ully frequently produce precise birth years, heights, weights, net-worth estimates and other “quick facts.” Those figures are often presented in tables that make them look authoritative, even when the underlying evidence is unclear.
Her exact date of birth is not established by the stronger sources used for this article, so assigning her a precise current age would create false certainty.
The same is true of net worth. No reliable financial disclosure, company valuation, court document or direct statement reviewed here provides a defensible figure for Ully’s personal wealth. An exact number would therefore be speculation.
Her current romantic status deserves the same restraint. Public silence after a divorce does not mean someone is single, and a surname appearing on an online profile is not enough by itself to prove a later marriage.
Why Kelsy Ully remains a subject of interest
Public curiosity about Ully is largely a consequence of Jonathan Scott’s later fame. Their marriage took place during a period of his life that was substantially less public, and Scott did not discuss it extensively until years later.
His 2017 interviews and memoir brought that part of his history back into view, but they also created an imbalance: readers have a detailed account from Scott while comparatively little first-hand material is publicly available from Ully.
That is why the clearest biography of Kelsy Ully is also a relatively restrained one. She worked in airline scheduling, married Jonathan Scott in 2007, later separated from him, and subsequently held a documented senior business role at Impel Systems. Beyond that, current personal details should not be filled in with assumptions simply because celebrity-biography sites repeat them.
